LGBTQ Ministries
LGBTQ Ministries: Our new “Affirming Theology” group meets on Wednesdays at 6pm in the Fireside room of our Sanctuary Building. This is an Open & Affirming ministry where we focus on celebrating the LGBTQIA+ rainbow within our congregation and community. This meeting is open to all, including family and Allies, but it is first and foremost a safe space for the LGBTQ community.- Our congregation is proud to be Open & Affirming of the LGBTQ Rainbow, we strive to welcome immigrants, we celebrate that we are a multi-cultural and multi-racial congregation that welcomes inter-religious families
- THIS is the extravagant welcome of the United Church of Christ in Los Alamitos! We are all part of the Church universal – faithful people of every color, gender, class, sexual orientation, age, and ability, gathered to love and serve God.
- There is a place in God’s heart, there is a place at Christ’s table, there is a place here and in every welcoming church for all people – whatever your unique God-given orientation!

- Judy’s Kitchen
- Environmental Justice -On the third Saturday of each month we collect recycling (Aluminum Cans, Glass, and Plastic Bottles) on the back lawn of our campus across from the entrance to Klein Manor. We then invest the funds we receive into efforts to green our campus and seek environmental justice for future generations.
- Transitions in Motherhood (TIM): is a local non-profit organization co-founded by one of our church members that provides material and social support for new parents and their children. TIM volunteers distribute food, diapers, baby clothing and toys to families in need on the third Saturday of each month from 11am – 1pm on our back driveway and yard.

- Sunday School: We currently have a “kid zone” where kids and their parents can listen to the church service while engaged in activities for kids. It is located on the left side of our reception area as you enter the church Sanctuary building.
- We are aiming to restart Sunday School for children ages 3 – 11 soon. Our staff and volunteers

Our church campus is available to rent, including: Sanctuary Building with Reception Area, Fireside room, Outdoor Plaza under canopy, Fellowship Hall with Kitchen, Adult Restrooms, Preschool Playground, and front and back yards.
- Our Sanctuary building can seat up to 299 people and is equipped with a high quality sound system, video screens, and a versatile elevated stage. The Sanctuary is a beautiful place for church services, concerts, recitals, open mics, weddings, funerals, and community gatherings.
- Our Fellowship Hall with adjoining kitchen is a great location for receptions, parties, quinceaneras, 12 step group meetings, and our monthly soup kitchen.
- Our preschool facility is currently leased by “Little Sunshine House” an amazing Reggio Inspired Early Care and Education program serving families with children ages two months to Kindergarten. Contact (562) 513-3313 for more information

We work in coalition with many Interfaith Organizations that work for justice, including: Clergy and Laity United for Economic Justice (CLUE), Housing is a Human Right Orange County, Los Alamitos Community United, Orange County Pride, and Long Beach LGBTQ Centers.
